Hi everyone! I'm Lara, and I'm going into fourth-year of medicine. I would love to be Secretary of DermSoc for 2025/26.

I have extensive experience in organising meetings, both from leadership positions at school and as part of University of Leeds Dance, and I am confident at ensuring these run smoothly and efficiently. I would make sure that everyone's opinions and ideas are heard, no matter how long you've been part of our society. I am also aware of how busy people's diaries can become and so I would schedule meetings and events a long time in advance so people can plan accordingly and avoid unnecessary stress.

I am a committed member of DermSoc and I am passionate about pursuing a career in dermatology; I attended the 'Diversity in Dermatology' joint conference in Liverpool last year and I recently entered a dermatology essay competition. I also look forward to beginning my ESREP project on acne management this term.

I am reliable and organised, and I would be really excited to support other committee members in organising DermSoc events to further engage our members and raise our profile .
