Hello, I’m Hrishita, currently a 3rd year medic! I would love to take on the role as your Middle Years Representative for Derm Soc, as I am easily approachable and willing to understand any concerns that you may have. As part of this role, I aim to help deliver exciting sessions and bring together everyone who is eager to learn more about Dermatology and its’ application in clinical practice.
My GP placements have truly helped me to gain an insight into how diverse the field of dermatology is and the intricacies involved in diagnosing skin conditions, which I hope to increase awareness of through events, talks and workshops for students. I understand that it can be quite complicated, so I hope that as part of this society we can all work collaboratively to create exciting content and revision resources for OSCE’s and exams! Also being a part of GP Soc will be helpful for me in liaising with other societies to bring forward joint events in the future.
As your middle year representative, I hope to bring a positive contribution to this society and work with passionate people who share similar interests to deliver engaging sessions for us all. Please consider voting for me, thank you!!

Hi, my name is Faith Adegboye and I’m excited to apply for the role of Third Year Rep! I had the privilege of serving as Third Year Rep last year, where I was reliable, approachable, and always happy to help with any queries. Having already held the role, I bring both practical experience and a clear understanding of what makes it successful. This experience has given me valuable insight into how DermSoc can continue to grow, and having faced the challenges of the position, over past year I have reflected on what can be improved and how we can build on last year’s foundation.
As a Black student, dermatology holds special meaning for me. Conditions affecting people of colour are often overlooked or misdiagnosed, and I’ve personally experienced delays in treatment because my condition wasn’t recognised on darker skin. These barriers impact not just physical health, but also mental health, confidence, and overall wellbeing. This is why I am passionate about raising awareness and making sure DermSoc continues to promote inclusivity in dermatology.
If re-elected, I’d love to build on my past work by not only sharing information about events, but also by creating engaging, easy-to-digest educational content that highlights skin conditions across all skin tones. I’d love to bring in a broader range of events and perspectives, helping DermSoc become a more diverse and welcoming space for everyone. I want DermSoc’s platforms to feel relatable, and informative - showing how dermatology connects with mental health, culture, and everyday life.
I truly enjoy working with people and bringing fresh, creative ideas to the table. Having proven my reliability and dedication in this role already, I feel confident that I can represent third years.

Hii, I’m Aadya and I would love to be your Middle Years rep for this society!

I feel passionate about dermatology because of the huge impact it has not only on a patients’s physical but also their mental health + self-confidence! Our skin is the body’s largest, most visible organ; it’s almost like a window into what’s going on inside. Many diseases such as lupus and vasculitis can first begin to show up on our skin and signs such as rashes, lesions, hair loss, etc. can be a clear visible indication that something is wrong inside the body. This makes the specialty very interesting + rewarding because of the additional difference you get to make on someone’s self-esteem!

As a Middle Years rep I’d get the best of both worlds- helping the committee run fun and engaging events while also getting to be closely connected with students to keep them well informed, involved and heard. I love meeting new people and thinking of new ideas. I’ll actively listen to feedbacks and help acting upon them. I believe I’m also super approachable, organised and motivated to help the society grow and thrive!

Hi everyone! I’m Hannah, a 3rd medical student with a keen interest in dermatology and building a supportive community within this society. As a 3rd year student I’d love to be the middle years representative because I will be able to understand both the excitement and challenges of this stage in medical school.

I’m approachable, friendly, and eager to learn on the job. My experience in dermatology has been limited to attending a few conferences and watching Dr Pimple Popper but I am passionate about the subject and excited to learn more about it this year. I also recently completed an audit during my GP placement that included a focus on dermatological cancers and their outcomes, which has deepened my interest in the specialty.

As your rep, I will:
* Make sure your voices are heard and your ideas shared with the committee.
* Help organise and get involved in engaging events that cater to 3rd years and intercalating students.
* Be committed to keeping this society inclusive, welcoming, and supportive.

Hi.

I’m a Year 3 medical student and I’d like to be DermSoc’s Middle Years Representative.
I’ve always been interested in Dermatology, from diseases to skincare!
SPF = younger skin
Retinol = reduce wrinkles (or acne)
Vit C or Niacinamide = brighter skin

I have previous experience being on a different committee (as a Year 2 Representative) and delivering successful events, including conferences and teaching sessions.
I’d like to use this experience to collaborate with other DermSoc committee members to boost the society’s presence and run events that match your interests, whether you’re a fellow 3rd year or intercalator.
In particular, I’m thinking Mock OSCEs.

Also, I want to support greater representation for all skin tones and caring for them. 🖤🤎🤍
