Hey Freestylers!

I’m Ella and I would love to be your 26/27 Secretary! I have adored being your Welfare Sec this year, being able to give back to the society that I love with all of my heart. It would be my pleasure to be able to be on committee again and give everyone the amazing experience that I have had so far with Freestyle.

Having been a part of committee this year, I have been able to see how much hard work and dedication it takes to run this incredible society, and so I have been able to see what goes on behind the scenes. As your secretary, I will be vigilant on the emails, making sure no one misses any important deadlines or information – and after the stunning communication from the union this year (iykyk) I will be persistent and motivated to make sure that Freestyle is not only seen but HEARD!! I want to make sure each member of committee feels supported by the secretary, so that no one feels like they are taking on the brunt of the stress from the union.

As a smaller society, I recognise the importance of networking, and I would love to work on the admin side of things in helping next year’s Social Secs finding our new forever home (RIP Revs, you will be dearly missed 💔 ). Additionally, I would love to be able to reach out to collab with small local brands, to help get us extra funding and sponsoring!

Having paid close attention to the intermediate ballet category at comps this year, I think that with our talented dancers, we could definitely take a piece to comps and (hopefully) come back with a trophy! I would love to take the lead on this category, relieving any added stress this would place on our big three, being a point of call if any help with choreography is needed (well, maybe not hip hop 🤣 )

Most of all, having been your Welfare Sec this year, I want to continue to be the friendly face that people can turn to during times of stress, worry, or screaming for joy when we get a trophy (STILL SORRY to whoever I chucked my cider over xxx)

I love this society dearly, and it would be my pleasure to work with you all as Secretary next year.
