Hi, my name is Shala Texeira, and I am nominating myself for welfare secretary.

I love speaking to everyone, and I think I would be good for the role because I would always be an open ear to anyone who needs to talk. I also have a certificate for First Aid for Mental Health, so I have certain skills suitable for this role.

I love tennis, and it is where I met the majority of my friends; however, I feel the society is so massive that sometimes it can be hard to sustain friendships that are created from meeting at social nights.

Therefore, if I were welfare secretary, I would definitely like to focus on creating some more sober socials for all years, but more specifically, first years to help them settle into the tennis community even better.
- for example, events on Thursdays because then you can debrief/hangout/get to know each other better.

i’m applying for welfare sec so that in future i can ensure a safe environment so that everyone can enjoy this society comfortably without feeling any judgement. i’ve enjoyed the past year, including the friendliness and how welcomed i felt joining the society without knowing anybody prior.

Hi, I am Henny and I am running to be women's welfare sec next year!

Since joining university in September as a fresher, I am so grateful Tennis has come back into my life after a 5-year break. I have been a committed member in tennis representing BUCS for the 2s most Wednesdays creating some unforgettable away day memories. Alongside this, I've attended most Wednesday socials and mischief (would be rude not too after winning a black card in the raffle)

Being part of a big family and playing sports my whole life, I’d like to think I am a sociable, flexible and approachable person who tries to spread positivity and good energy. As a welfare sec I will bring good vibes to every aspect of tennis and will always be up for a coffee and a chat with anyone. I would love to introduce some more sober events to Tennis such as trying out different sports - tennis goes trampolining??

Hi, I'm Tali! And I would love to be your Women's Welfare Secretary because I'm passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment wherever I go. As I do a theatre degree I'm a very confident person and I would also like to think I'm very easy to talk to. If i get this position i would plan to do many welfare socials like the quiz this year (which my team won #champs). I would also love to repeat the trampolining welfare social so i can show off my cartwheels (again).
