Hi I’m Tilda and I’m running for social media sec!!!

I am a fashion design student, and I did graphic design for A levels which means that I have all the software and experience needed to make the social medias look insane!!

My favourite thing in the world is my camera which I will happily bring to every social and only the socials, because no one wants their picture taken in chief. And I’d love to share all the best photos with you all so you can look back on the amazing memories, and at least have something to remember the night by!

But don’t worry as I know what its like to get absolutely mugged off, especially in a public post, so I’ll make sure that none of you do (I’m an amazing photographer so this won’t be a problem)

I also LOVE a cheeky TikTok so expect lots more fun tennis content across all social medias

I've been a member of tennis from the start and got a strong social attendance. I've got some good ideas for new content for the social medias and the right tools to make sure I get it all posted. If I'm elected I would make sure to get more content posted from the social nights so everyone can see what tennis is all about.

’m running for Social Media Secretary because I want to highlight the amazing community and socials that make our tennis society so fun, while also showcasing our teams’ achievements in fixtures.
As a member of the Women’s 3rds team, I’m involved in the competitive side of the club, attending training regularly and playing most Wednesdays. I also love a Wednesday night social (I somehow end up in mischief most weeks!!) and enjoy connecting with both playing and social members. I’m a friendly, confident and outgoing person who enjoys bringing people together and promoting events.
I also have experience creating social media content for TikTok and Instagram through working for a student events company, so I understand how to make posts engaging and exciting. I’d love to use this experience to share the best moments from Wednesday nights, information and updates about the society, match highlights, team shoutouts and recaps of socials, while also getting everyone involved and celebrating everything else that makes the society so great.

I want to showcase everything that makes up the UOL Tennis. From the socials, BUCS to other events, each post will convey the passion that every member shows every week consistently on and off the court.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Ming, a Computer Science student, an active member of the Tennis Development Squad, and—should it ever be required—someone who will take the mic for Coldplay songs at karaoke 😉. Also, I don’t drink alcohol (I’ll come back to this detail later)!

I am standing for Social Media Secretary because I have already proven my ability to excel in it! As the Social Media Secretary for my accommodation, Charles Morris Committee (2025/26), I have leveraged my background in graphic design and digital art 🎨 and consistently delivered visually compelling and engaging content—work that contributed to our committee being shortlisted for both Best Social Committee and the Inclusive Community Award 🥳!

Thirdly, I am known to be a very responsive texter📱! You can expect timely, reliable replies to all DM messages any day of the week—even during socials (when I will be sober and ready to respond)! Whether you have a quick question or a genuine concern, you will never feel ignored, for when you reach out, I will be present, attentive, and ready to help.

Fourthly, I will bring a dedicated digital camera 📸 to the socials if you don’t have access to one, offering to take high-quality and genuinely good photos of you and your friends (no blurry chaos unless requested 😅)! On the following day these photos will be uploaded to a google drive you can access, allowing you to relive those memories and share them on your own social media pages 💅! Think of me as your personal photographer—just without the invoice.

Fifthly, I will populate the reels section of the UOL Tennis Instagram with creative and dynamic Instagram reels! I will provide a platform for all the funny, creative and fabulously dressed members of the tennis society that wishes to express themselves on one of the biggest sport society Instagram accounts, with a chance of going viral on the internet 😎!

Types of reels you can expect are:

- Skits 🎭
- Blind date videos 💗

It won’t be just me making the reels! If you have an idea for a reel just DM me and we can make it happen! And of course, credit will always be given where it’s due (I will put your @ in the reel whenever requested).

I have enjoyed tennis socials for the past two years and with social media I aim to enhance this experience because as the most loose and active society in Leeds we deserve it. I would use weekly TikToks involving everyone filming both our wholesome activities and our massive weekly socials. As my screen time shows, I have much experience in this space so I’m sure you will all vote wisely.

Hi I’m Jemima and I’d love to be next years social media sec! Since joining tennis at uni, I’ve met so many amazing people and some of my closest friends through the society. Being social media sec I’d love to show everyone just how much fun we have!
I think I’d be a great fit for this role as I’d bring new and fun ideas to our social media. For example, mid match and training interviews could be fun, and bringing a mic into action for midnight interviews😛, creating more engaging content. I’d also aim to post more regularly to keep everyone involved in what the society is up to!
I’d also love to promote our matches more to bring bigger crowds and more support.
Overall, I would not only promote the tennis society, but also use it as an opportunity to bring everyone closer together and create more of a family.
