I believe I am a strong candidate for this role due to my organisational skills and my genuine desire to ensure everyone has a great time. While this year's welfare events were great, they were a bit too infrequent and under-advertised. As Welfare Secretary, I would commit to hosting more regular events—ideally once a month—ensuring that players of all tennis abilities and backgrounds feel welcome. From my experience, more regular social interaction creates stronger relationships and a friendlier community. I hate seeing anyone feel out of place, so I will always adapt our events to be inclusive. I already have several ideas in mind, including the Ninja Warrior course, Driving range or mini-golf sessions, darts and pool nights, regular pub quizzes and many, many more.

I’d love to be Welfare Secretary because I’m the kind of person people naturally come to when they need a chat, a laugh, or someone to help with a situation. I genuinely enjoy looking out for people, and I want Tennis to feel like a place where everyone feels welcome, included, and comfortable being themselves.

I’d like to think I am approachable, easy to talk to, and definitely organised enough. Whether it’s checking in on members, keeping the vibes positive, or pointing people towards support when they need it, I’m always happy to help. I want to ensure the society is a place that feels friendly and accessible, not formal or intimidating.
