I would like to put myself forward for the prestigious role of Drip Sec (merchandise). I am a firm believer of the look good, feel good, play good (unfortunately no pay good) mentality and I believe this year we all looked much more put together than previous years which helped us feel more like a team on gamedays. I also believe that if people are proud to wear their gryphons merch to the gym/uni etc. it would help to bring more attention to the team and help further push for new recruits.
If I got the role I would look to further develop and expand the merch options available by working closely with suppliers such as EP sports (other options will be investigated) to ensure merch is not only affordable but also high quality and looks good. In order to achieve this I would ensure that player input and suggestions are at the forefront of the design and selection of merch items to make sure they are things people would actually wear.
I would look to also work closely with the sponsorship sec to organise advertising space should any sponsors require this (only if this wouldn't look horrendous).
While I will be on placement this year I look to still be involved in the gryphons as much as I possibly can so I feel this would be a good role to fit around my work schedule.
