Hi EARS SOC, I’m Bew

I am a third-year student majoring in Modern Foreign Languages (French and Chinese), and I am looking forward to running for Social Secretary!

EARS society has been the highlight of my university experience since my first year at Leeds. It is the one society where I have never missed an event. Whether it is the atmosphere, engagement or variety of activities such as the weekly socials, movie nights and Otley runs, I have experienced the incredible connections these gatherings create. Therefore, stepping up as Social Secretary, I will ensure to contribute my ideas to make our social events even more exciting, welcoming, varied and inclusive, through new themed socials, collaborations with other societies or fresh twists on classic EARS traditions.

I am committed to making student life at Leeds even more memorable by ensuring the right venue, engaging activities and creating a welcoming atmosphere. My strong enthusiasm for bringing people together across cultures and communities will enable me to create a fun and dynamic social scene that appeals to all members. Additionally, my experience in using content creation tools and organising events will enhance event promotion and engagement, helping to maximise participation from both members and non-members.

I would be honoured to serve as Social Secretary and help to make student life in Leeds even more enjoyable. Let’s create many unforgettable memories together!!
