My name is Charlotte Langlois, I am going into my second year of studying Ba of Global Creative Industries.the first impression is so important which is why i think being a secretary sounds like such a responsibility, being in charge of welcoming the freshers at the freshers fair. Make them want to join the team. Secondly i have been enjoying the Lounge app so much through freestyle society and others, so i feel like i would do a great job taking care of so. I also feel very confident to be in charge of the email account as i tend to reply to all of my personal emails as quick as possible.

I’m Ellie and I would love to be considered as your Secretary next year! Currently I am in second year but I joined Freestyle as a fresher and it is the best decision I made since coming to uni🫶

Having the opportunity to fulfil the role of PR Secretary this year has been incredible, it has provided me with an opportunity to give back to this amazing society. Also, I have loved having a designated amount of responsibility within this years committee. Through my role, not only has it expanded my level of organisation, balancing a degree with the large commitment of freestyle, it has also helped me grow in confidence. I can tell in myself how I have improved, so i’m forever thankful for how this role has allowed me to develop. It has given me much more than what I could have expected, which I am so grateful for. Therefore, I would love to have an opportunity to be a part of committee in my final year and help with the running of this society once again, enabling me to give back to some amazing people!

There are multiple reasons as to why I believe I am best suited to the role of secretary, with one reason being how I have proved myself this year in a large committee role of PR Secretary. One aspect of my role has involved being in charge of Freestyles social media platforms, which included creating and posting content weekly as well as responding to messages. With the role of Secretary, I can transfer some of the skills I have learned in committee, therefore helping me keep on top of the email account and help out across other roles if is ever necessary.

Being a part of this incredible society has been a massive highlight for me over the last two years. Freestyle has enabled me to keep up my love for dance, improve my confidence and my dance ability across styles, as well as allowed me to meet so many amazing people over the duration of my uni experience. I would love to have the privilege to once again give back to this society in my final year at uni, so please consider me as your 24/25 Freestyle Secretary🫶🫶

Hi lovely people!

I’m Emily, also known as Moseley and I’d love to be more involved in Freestyle next year as your secretary! Having joined Freestyle this year, I cannot get enough of the love and community that this society provides. Going into third year- I regret not having joined as a fresher; as I have met and danced with so many beautiful faces, each of whom I consider my friends. Therefore, I would love to be your secretary next year and continue the good vibes with my positive energy and desire to get stuck in across all aspects by being on committee 😊

Dance has always been such an integral part of my life, having done musical theatre at a young age through external theatre companies as well as in school societies, much like this one! However, none of which have provided me as much joy as Freestyle does. Freestyle has been incredible in encouraging me to get back into dance, with its uplifting, accepting and upbeat environment- I can carelessly have a giggle and dance with a group of likeminded, amazing and talented individuals.

Having been a part of three of the four competition dances this year, as well as performing at Intercom; I understand the levels of commitment and organisation that is required for this role. As a chronic overthinker, I am constantly checking and responding to emails, I can be a mean keyboard warrior when I want to be 😉 I have good communication skills and can confidently talk to groups of all age groups outside of uni. I pay close attention to detail and have effective time management which I can apply to the role of secretary. Already having contact with committee members in other societies, I know what is required for this role.

I have many ideas surrounding sponsors for Freestyle and by running for secretary, I’d love to be able to put those ideas/plans in motion. I’ll reveal all if I am lucky enough to be appointed as your secretary on 24/25 committee 😊

I would love to be able to continue my Freestyle journey and meet many more wonderful people in this society and those that are wanting to join. I cannot encourage enough how amazing my time has been thus far, and I cannot wait to be able to share the stage with you all once again!
