Hello you lovely lot, I’m Macy and most of you probably know me as one of your crazy blonde social secs ;)!!

It’s been an absolute privilege being on committee this year, we’ve been unbelievably successful to say the least and seeing our freestyle community thrive truly has been an honour. This year I’m putting myself forward for president, which I am enormously excited for! As a soon to be third year student studying business management, I feel my ability to lead this group of talented individuals would be a blessing in my final year here at Leeds!! Without getting emotional, I’ve met some of the most amazing girls in freestyle who I’m proud to call my best friends 3. The opportunity to continue growing this welcoming and creative community for others to have the same experience is a priority of mine, as I know is the same for others.

Being on committee this year has provided me with varied responsibilities within freestyle such as choregraphing Intercomp, fight night, varsity and planning big social events such as our freestyle finale!! These experiences have enhanced my leadership and organisational skills, essential to guiding our society to even greater success. As president, I will be committed to fostering strong relationships within our university and beyond, ensuring the society continues to be a vibrant and welcoming environment for all! As a creative individual I am EXTREMELY excited at the opportunity to coordinate our annual showcase, build STRONG competition teams (not that we could be any stronger!!) and alongside treasurer looking into new exciting fundraising opportunities. Supporting every member of committee will be my main motivation, holding regular meetings and developing strategies for success. One thing I can most certainly promise as a retiring (not yet retired) social sec, is that you will most definitely still see me at EVERY mischief, because I think we can all partially agree…. freestyle comes before the degree ;)

Freestyle is known better than any other society for the love and support we share and as your president I can ensure this will continue beyond all means. I hope you can all support me and follow my vision for next year, freestyle love forever and always, Macy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
