Hello! My name is Oma Thompson and I am a second-year biomedical sciences student with a deep love for bass-heavy music and community. From jungle and DnB to UKG, bassline, and hyperpop, if it makes you move, I’m probably into it. I’m running for Secretary of the Electronic Music and DJ Society because I care about the structure behind the sounds. Whether it’s organizing files, taking minutes, or making sure events run smoothly, I thrive on being reliable, communicative, and detail-focused. With previous experience using tools like Google Docs, Canva, and spreadsheets, I am confident I can keep our society running smoothly, allowing all to focus on the music.
Electronic Music and DJ society has been a highlight of my time here at uni, and I’d love to give back by helping us grow, staying organized, and keeping the vibes alive.

Having run events in London, Leeds and Bristol, and having a passion for all things music, I would love to take part in BPM a bit more.

I feel like my 3 years of running events and even longer DJing has given me a real taste into the current music scene. Although we all love going out, and we all love the scene - it's dying and I think we've got a real responsibility to keep what we love alive. This can be done in Leeds whether it be through partnerships with venues, more interaction between BPM members or more exclusive opportunities.

As a BPM committee member I'd give my all to keep BPM thriving and inclusive.
