My name is Adon Thayil & I'm currently finishing off my first year as a dentistry student here in Leeds. As a sports enthusiast & proud Malayali, I've decided to put myself forward for the role of sports representative for next year. For me, sports & staying active has always been an important part of my life and I'm passionate about bringing that same enthusiasm to our community. I strongly believe finding time to stay active should be an important part of the life of any university student.

Since childhood, I have experience in playing a wide range of different sports, both competitively and casually. From my experiences, I know that sports bring people together, help build lasting friendships, and most importantly, put smiles on people's faces. Over the years, I have learnt key skills such as teamwork, leadership & discipline, which I'm hoping to put to use in my role as sports representative.

Whether it's organising casual games or helping to form competitive teams, my aim is to create opportunities for everyone to get involved regardless of skill level. As part of this, I will make sure to work with other societies in Leeds and Mallu societies throughout UK in order to build up an even stronger network and provide you all with as many opportunities as possible for socialising and playing sports.

The most important thing is your support and active participation. I'm always willing to improve and so I will use your feedback and suggestions to make the sports events better each time.
