Recruitment is the lifeblood of this club and yearly recruitment incredibly important to ensure the development of the club. For that reason going forward there will be more responsibility for this position. 

Historically this recruitment secs have had the majority of their work happen before the season/in the first few weeks. Going forward this position will have more responsibility over the year. This includes responsibilities help planning the GIAG and open training sessions at the start of the year and helping retaining players over the first few weeks of the season, as well as previous responsibilities including making sure the fresher fair stand runs smoothly. Working with the rest of the committee added responsibility will include messaging people seeing if they’re coming back down, and making sure people have bought membership etc. 

Somebody who takes on this role needs to be personable (especially for freshers fair), able to plan ahead of time (engage event approval is a real pain) and someone who genuinely cares about ensuring the future of this club beyond when they graduate.

It is incredibly rewarding, especially when you see people you know that you recruited becoming starters and taking key roles on the field. I would really recommend it to anyone who fancies it.
