Hi, I’m Ted and this year I am running for Treasurer.

I’m a proactive and organised person, and I take a lot of pride in doing things properly. Through my degree,I have gained have strong time-management, decision-making and mathematical skills. Also, I have experience helping a local business secure funding by creating a budget and financial plan, which has given me a strong understanding of how to manage money responsibly and think ahead when making financial decisions, skills that will help me in the role as Treasurer.

I understand that the role goes beyond finances and involves contributing to the key decisions that shape the club. I would work closely with the President and Secretary to make sure decisions are well thought through and in the best interest of the team. I’m a strong communicator and I’d focus on building good relationships within the committee, being approachable, easy to work with, and always open to feedback to help the club run as smoothly as possible.

After two years with the Gryphons, getting to know everyone and helping out the team where I can, I’m now looking to take on more responsibility and make a bigger contribution to the club and its success. This team is something I care about a lot and being able to support its continued growth and stability is something I would find really rewarding.

I look forward to the coming season and hope I can help shape the future of the club, ensure everyone gets involved and has a great time whilst we work for promotion.

As an accounting and finance student with an accounting internship this summer I feel like I’m the perfect fit for the treasurer role. Having already learnt how boring budgets are, my motivation for the role won’t be damaged and I’ll make sure any financial wrongdoings by beans are swiftly discovered. Jokes aside, after two years playing for the gryphons, I feel like it is time to give back. I’m prepared to work closely with the pres and secretary in order to ensure the financials behind the club are in order and we have all the money necessary for a big playoff push next year.
My degree has taught me a lot about budgets (unfortunately), putting me in a good place when sorting things out at the start of next year. As well as this, I’ll work closely with the Kit sec to ensure that money is there for any orders.

After a successful year as charity sec (still more to come), I am excited to run for Treasurer and continue to contribute to the Gryphons in an even greater way.

This year, I led the most successful Movember campaign in Gryphons history, raising over £1700. My experience as charity sec, has helped me develop key skills directly relevant to the Treasurer role, including chasing payments (very important) and organising events. Alongside this, studying Civil Engineering has strengthened my numerical and analytical skills, providing me with the precision and attention to detail required for the financial management of this society.

I will make sure that you receive the best possible value for your membership fees, ensuring that the money is used effectively to benefit the whole club, making sure we buy the adequate amount of kit to support this growing society. By staying fully on top of the society’s finances, I’ll ensure that you, as players, can focus on what is the most important thing, performing on the pitch and securing promotion, getting us back where we belong.

I believe I’m the perfect fit for the role of Treasurer as I am extremely committed to the Gryphons, hardworking and someone who everyone should feel comfortable talking to if they have any issues. I believe these are essential qualities for a Treasurer.
