As kit sec you’ll oversee all the kit in the shed that the club uses. This involves the distribution and relocation of pads, helmets, and jerseys. This includes making sure everyone is wearing stuff correctly and coordinating with the gameday sec to ensure everyone is in the right jersey at games. This also includes organising what equipment will be needed for training and then also the separate equipment required for gameday.
It’s important to be organised and as approachable as you are the main person to sort out any problems if they come up. This pairs with the ability to take initiative to be able to solve any issues going on with kit, especially as the club continues to get larger every year and the gap between the amount of kit we have, and the number of members grows and grows.
Someone will inevitably turn up to a game without knee pads but overall, being kit sec is something I have enjoyed this year as you are a crucial part of helping the club run. (plus you get first dibs on the nice kit and get to choose your own jersey number x)
I would recommend going for this role or any others as it’s gives you a lot of skills to put on the CV and take forward.
