Hey!! :)
Some of you newer members might not recognise me- I was the Vice President last year, but have spent this year in Edinburgh intercalating in Anthropology and Sociology of Medicine! I am very excited to come back and rejoin Leeds Friends of MSF, I have definitely missed it.
Obviously our activities last year were very limited (by the big C word), but I particularly enjoyed organising and chairing our online Search and Rescue event (film screening and speaker event in collaboration with STAR Leeds!), the language taster sessions and our T-shirt competition.
As co-president (with Phoebe Bennett!), I would love to:
- Collaborate more with other societies to increase our reach beyond the medical school
- Increase our social media presence, making sure we keep the fab MSF mondays going and staying on top of current MSF news
- Host regular meetings (weekly or fortnightly!) so we can all get to know each other well and everyone's voice can be heard
- Continuing our speaker events, Beats without Borders, and film screenings, but also brainstorming some new fundraising events to engage with the public, such as Drink and Draw, gig nights etc!

My skills include: sending really professional sounding emails, getting things done, coming up with bizarre ideas (and hopefully seeing them through!)

One of the best things I've loved about being on the FoMSF committee has been getting to know such lovely people, and I would just want to make sure that we become a wonderful team!
