Bismillah,

An EGM is required and open to elect the following roles:

• President
• Head of Student Affairs
• International Student Welfare Officer
• Postgraduate Representative

If you think that you are suitable and are willing to take the responsibility, nominate yourselves for a position.

For Head of Student Affairs- prior experience on committee is very desirable.

The President must have served at least one full semester on committee before.

This is a chance to be part of one of the biggest and most active societies on campus, with weekly events and huge socials.

The rules:

1) In order to run for a position you must have an ISoc Membership which is £7. ISoc

membership prices will remain the same and will not be changed through this period.

2.) You must submit a manifesto detailing why you would be suitable for the role, any past experience that is relevant. Ensure that this is no more than 300 words.

To run for President,Vice President Brother or Sister, you must have served at least one full semester on ISoc Committee

3.) NO CAMPAIGNING on any ISoc media. This includes all ISoc WhatsApp chats and

comment sections. All campaigning, whether it be for yourself or for other members, is

banned.

4.) Your opinions regarding whether or not certain members are suitable for roles are to be kept off ISoc channels. Despite how strongly you may feel. We cannot police your personal dialogue, however we remind you to fear Allah and avoid backbiting.

5.) The only roles which restrict gender are those with "brother" or "sister" in the title, besides these, anyone is able to apply for and hold any of the other roles. Please bear this in mind when voting.

6.) When voting please ensure that you vote based on whom you think is the most suitable candidate.

We ask Allah to bless the new committee whomever they may be, and to increase them in

their capacity to carry out this noble work. Ameen

- Some information about yourself: your name, your programme and year of study, and the position you are applying for

- Reasons why you have nominated yourself for this position

-Qualities and experiences you have to aid in fulfilling the the responsibilities of this position
