Hey I'm Rishi Vekaria, studying Actuarial Mathematics and I'm running for Head of Sponsors because it's something I'm genuinely passionate about and I've already had a go at it.

Recently, I reached out to Wall Street Oasis and was fortunate enough to secure a partnership that brought their CEO Patrick Curtis to deliver a talk and Q&A for LUUTIS - giving members access to over $1,000 in bootcamps, interview prep, and the largest international application tracker. It showed me what's possible when you put yourself out there, and I want to keep building on that momentum.

As a Brand Partner at Whali, an AI cold outreach platform that generates personalised internship emails, I work across sponsorship, tech, and recruitment daily - and I've seen first-hand what the platform can do. I used Whali to cold email the COO of HM Treasury's Debt Management Office and secured an internship off the back of it. That's the kind of tool I want to bring directly to LUUTIS members. Three years of client-facing experience at Wembley Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium have helped me develop the communication and professionalism needed to represent an organisation well.

I've also grown a TikTok following to 1k+ (@rish1.007) and want to use it to showcase LUUTIS, build connections with companies, and give sponsors the kind of digital visibility that makes partnering with us worthwhile.

My goal is to build a structured sponsor pipeline, bring AI-driven platforms into the society, and create partnerships that deliver real value to members. I'm also in early conversations with industry figures including the co-founder of Mirum, who has an IB background at Stifel and Deloitte, about coming in for a talk next year.

Hi everyone!

I’m Halima, a first-year Financial Mathematics student and I’m really excited to be running for Head of Sponsors.

Over the past year, I’ve actively built connections across finance and consulting, engaging with 20+ firms, attending insight sessions and growing a LinkedIn network of 7000+. Through this, I’ve seen first-hand how powerful strong industry links can be in opening doors for students.

But more importantly, I’ve learnt this:
👉 opportunities don’t just appear - they’re built through relationships.

That’s exactly what I want to bring to LUUTIS.

Why me?
I’m someone who is proactive, confident reaching out and genuinely enjoys connecting with people. Whether it’s through events, networking or professional engagement, I focus on turning conversations into meaningful opportunities.

I don’t just want to maintain partnerships; I want to grow them and make them more valuable for every member.

What I want to do as Head of Sponsors:

🌍 I’ve already engaged with LUUTIS through events like the Rathbones Investment Management session and I’ve seen how impactful these experiences can be. I want to help scale that impact so more students can benefit.
