Hi, I’m Shan, and I’m running for Vice President of Nutritank because I truly believe we can take this society to new heights this year. Serving as Secretary and Pre-Clinical Rep last year gave me the opportunity to organise events, collaborate with our team, and engage with members. I saw firsthand how much we can achieve, and it was incredibly rewarding to contribute to such an impactful society.

Building on that experience, I’m committed to expanding Nutritank’s reach both within the university and beyond. I want to run more engaging workshops, events, and outreach initiatives that not only benefit students but also the wider community. By doing this, we can promote the values of better health and well-being through education and collaboration. One of my passions is working with younger generations. I believe Nutritank can play a key role in primary and secondary schools, teaching children about nutrition, exercise, sleep, and healthy lifestyles. By doing so, we can instill healthy habits from an early age, giving them the tools to make informed decisions and lead healthier lives.

I also aim to strengthen partnerships with charities and organisations that share our values. By collaborating with groups focused on similar values to Nutritank on pushing well-being, nutrition awareness, and preventive health, we can increase our impact. Additionally, I’ll work to secure more funding and sponsorships, allowing us to expand our programs and make an even bigger difference. Last but not least, I also want to enhance our social media presence by posting regular, informative content that keeps our community engaged and informed about facts, research and updates in public health and nutrition.

With your support, I’m confident we can make this year the most successful one yet for Nutritank. I’m excited about the possibilities ahead and ready to work hard to make a meaningful difference in the field of nutrition, health and wellbeing.
