I am the 1st year student of International Relations and I am extremely honoured to be presenting my candidacy for such a benevolent society.

As a displaced person myself, I am aware how hard it must be for some people to be living in another cultural environment, especially when it happens due to abnormal circumstances. Therefore, I would like to nominate myself so all the voices that are experiencing hardship could be heard and their testimonies seen.

I am particularly interested in this position because I know it could be an exciting adventure for everyone involved. With different projects and collaboration planned, we could do so much great things to make this world a better place. I am very happy to contribute and do anything that is necessary to support and strengthen the already well-structured and organised STAR community.

I hope to continue coordinating the Wednesday sessions at Leeds Refugee Forum. I would like to organise more events like walks, picnics and other outings with learners and incorporate different activities into our sessions like artwork, games and food making.

I'm a first year politics student from London. I've really loved attending the wednesday conversation classes this year and would love the opportunity to give back. I've always valued community and
have volunteering experience organising events and projects, and would love the opportunity to use these skills at STAR
