Hi! I’m Fin and I am currently President of Leeds STAR. I’m a second year law student from Liverpool with a real interest in international human rights and the realities of living as a refugee or asylum seeker in the UK.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being President but feel it’s time to give someone else the wheel. However, I would still love the opportunity to be on committee again. In particular the opportunity to network with charities like PAFRAS and learn more about their fight against the hostile environment has been incredibly insightful for me. By far my favourite part of being President has been in the communication and organisation of events and volunteering projects. Therefore, I feel that Secretary would be the role best suited to me going forward. I think that focussing solely on this area would allow me to be more proactive and achieve even more with the next committee. I am really passionate about the work we do and making it even better so I would appreciate the opportunity to continue being a part of it!
