First I want to start by thanking Tom, Isabel, Mathew and Jonty for all their hard work this year. It most definitely has been challenging for them and all their efforts in running the society, organising events, scheduling matches and training the team - and much more - have not gone unnoticed. Thank you to everyone for their contributions and enduring the obstacles we have faced this year.

My name is Tareq, 22 years olds. I am currently a student at University of Leeds, studying Computer Science with Mathematics. I ride bikes, climb and play table tennis. My life at university thus far has been great, some obstacles here and there but that's first year for you.
I felt this would be a great opportunity to unleash some skills I picked up in my time before university, and most of all, it would be fantastic to communicate and engage with more of you, and I hope I can bring you the most.

Table Tennis is an amazing sport! I bet we can all agree on that. As President of Table Tennis Society, I would manage and facilitate the club, by listening and speaking with all of you. I intend to take all the feedback and concerns from all the members and always try my best to manage and run the society as smoothly as possible. I will take the time to speak with LUU staff about current ideas I have in mind, extra tables and more matches! I have somewhat devised a plan to make that possible, fingers crossed!

I am currently a 2nd year studying law and I am nominating myself for the role of President. I’ve previously taken up various roles in fundraising and sports committees and most recently volunteered under the School of Law’s Community Engagement Project assisting members of the community navigate the Welfare Appeals system. I believe that these previous experiences have adequately prepared me with the organisational and communication skills needed to contribute to the development of the society. Additionally, I have been an avid fan of the sport for more than 5 years and would like nothing more than for the continuing promotion of the society as an inclusive and overall fun community to share the love for table tennis.
