Hey! My name is Abarna Sivanesan and I am a 3rd year Cardiac Physiologist. I am excited to apply for the marketing role within the Leeds Tamil Society, where I aim to contribute my skills and creativity to enhance our community’s engagement and outreach.

With a strong understanding of social media dynamics, I am eager to assist our Social Media Manager as a marketing representative in creating compelling content for our events. Hi I’m Shaumy. I am a second year medical student and I am very eager to be part of the Tamil society. I understand how intimidating new students could feel when they are about to join societies, having been one last year, but after joining the society myself, I understood the excitement and the opportunities it gives you. Whether it is mingling with other people or just to enjoy and express your culture more.

I would love to be part of such a team and help others to come out of their comfort zones whilst also having an entertaining time with their friends. I want to advocate such a club that gives a break from stressful studies and emphasise the advantages of being in Tamil society.

By being warm and welcoming, I would love to advocate that this society is for everyone and ensure that every member feels included. I am sure I can do that as a marketing rep, advertising contents that are suitable for everyone. Liaising with the social media manager, I hope we could come up with more creative and innovative ideas that will attract many people to come to the events and enjoy themselves to the fullest.

Having experience of being a team member and running a club in secondary school, I fully understand the importance of working as a team and also the importance of appropriate advertisement. Therefore, I will certainly ensure to be supportive to all the members and give the fullest on my part to the team. I also have plenty experience with many social media platforms including insta, this would help me to advertise the content in an eye-catching way, and promote our society to many people.

If I am chosen to be marketing rep, I will ensure to mingle with other members of the committee easily and make sure the society is promoted well. Having such a strong passion to work in the team of the society, I hope you chose me for this position.
