Hi, I’m Sreeja, a second-year Computer Science student and I’m running for Events Officer because I believe thoughtful planning can turn any event into a space for connection, support and real change.

Over the past two years, I’ve led and contributed to a variety of university projects - from designing websites to managing group collaborations and turning big ideas into outcomes I’m proud of. These experiences have shaped my skills in organisation, creative problem-solving, risk management and team coordination - all of which I’m excited to bring into this role.

Beyond academics, I’ve been actively involved in societies like the Art Society and Badminton Society and I truly value how student communities bring people together. I’d love to help SSAFE collaborate with other societies and expand beyond our regular Tea & Talks - with cultural events, creative socials and experiences where everyone feels at home.

If elected, I’ll work closely with the committee to plan inclusive, engaging and well-run events - from small gatherings to larger fundraisers. I’m not just about getting things done, I care about making them meaningful and helpful for everyone.

I love bringing structure to creativity - whether it’s booking rooms, setting up spreadsheets or making sure every little detail is in place behind the scenes. My goal? To make sure every SSAFE event feels warm, welcoming, and runs seamlessly.

I believe events are more than just gatherings—they are opportunities to inspire, connect, and uplift. As a passionate organizer, I bring energy, inclusivity, and strategy to every event I plan. My experience as a Street Law Instructor has taught me the power of clear communication, while my role as a Student Advisory Board Member has strengthened my ability to drive meaningful change. Through my internship at Womennovator, I’ve designed impactful campaigns, and as part of Heelz Dance Society, I’ve mastered coordination, rhythm, and team spirit—essential for dynamic event planning. My deep involvement in SASHA Society & Project Shubh Karma reflects my dedication to creating safe and empowering spaces.
