As president, the individual is responsible for overseeing the committee. They need to ensure everyone is completing their respective roles by holding meetings, problem-solving with the team and working inter-society relations.

The president acts as a point of contact between the committee, the coaches, the teams, the union and the edge. Often conveying the decisions of the committee to each respective party.

The president may be required to make quick decisions in time-sensitive situations, meaning they must be up-to-date on current society affairs, both socially and financially.
