Hi I'm Grace,

I have been regularly attending the debate sessions each week, (and the post-debate drinks), and I feel I have a good understanding of the society to assist with the running next year. I would love to increase our numbers, by having debate motions that are engaging, fun and relevant. I would also like to help build debating skills and techniques through evenings dedicated to different roles within debating. I also propose we hold more social events, and have more engagement with other societies. I am a big believer in the value of debating and I believe this society has a lot of potential. Please vote for me!

Hi everyone! I’m Shermane, and I’m excited to nominate myself for the role of Vice President of the Debating Society.
Although I’m still new to BP debating, I’m committed to learning and growing — not just individually, but together with all of you. I will put in great effort to support and coordinate the society, ensuring it remains a welcoming and vibrant space for everyone.
In this role, I will:
- Work closely with the President and step in when needed to ensure smooth functioning
- Help implement changes that improve our debates and our community
- Offer support to all committee members and help wherever it’s needed
- Take initiative and adapt to new responsibilities as they come up
I believe in teamwork, communication, and staying calm under pressure — qualities I’ve developed through previous leadership roles and multilingual debating. With your support, I hope to help build a confident, inclusive, and inspiring debating environment.
