Hey everyone! My name is Tisha Choksi, and I am currently a second-year medical student, and I would love to join the committee of Teddy Bear Hospital as president next year.

I believe I would be well-suited to the role of president as I have good communication skills, I am well-organised, and I understand what it means to be a good leader. I would feel confident leading events, and committee meetings, delegating appropriate tasks and roles, and organising emails, to ensure the smooth running of the society. I would ensure that all members of the committee are involved in event planning, and that any concerns and queries are dealt with effectively. Communication with different stakeholders is also essential, such as the LUU, and my prior experience as a student ambassador has given me the experience and confidence required for this.

I have had the privilege of volunteering for TBH on many occasions, which has made me appreciate the reach this society has in terms of making a positive impact on the health and well-being of young children. Simultaneously, this society also provides a fun and relaxed environment for volunteers to get involved in teaching roles to communicate important health messages in unique and light-hearted ways, which can help reduce stigma around doctors. It also helps foster a sense of awareness of health from a young age.

It would be a pleasure to join this committee and contribute to the growth of this society, which offers such impactful volunteering opportunities.
