I'm Jay Turofsky a 4th year Theatre and Enterprise Student returning from my study abroad. Before moving to the US I was very involved with LSR, presenting the SRA chart show, a slot at Transmission music festival and multiple other shows.

I love LSR as everyone feels like a family, sitting in the office and just being apart of a community. Upon returning from my year abroad, I want to rejoin this community and meet more amazing people.

Podcasting for me is where my passion for presenting through audio came from when I started a podcast with one of my friends after neither of us had a show on LSR. The freedom of a podcast and being able to create something your proud of that is 100% yours is truly amazing and I hope through this position I can help others make their podcasts as good as possible.

I have some big ideas for the podcasting side of LSR and I hope after reading through my poster you will all consider me for Head Of Podcasting!

Hey, I'm Florrie, current Head of Weekend at LSR and a 2nd year English Literature student. I've been committed to LSR ever since I was a silly fresher and it's been a privilege being on committee this year. I'd love to help continue the friendly, inspiring culture of LSR as Head of Podcasting. As much as I love on-air shows, I've found a passion for podcasting and interviewing this year, especially as it can be easier to fit around university work! The idea of being able to share my knowledge that I've learnt from my own experience and from industry professionals at SRAcon really excites me. I'd love to help people explore and expand their ideas in podcasting as well as aid them with getting ang planning interviews for their episodes!

My experience with podcasting started in first year with LSR's much loved 'Miffed Off' podcast on Spotify; it gained a lot of student following and I'm proud to say I'm one of the four girls on there, all of whom are brilliant and on committee this year too. I learnt so much about connecting with your listenership and finding your own role in a group to enhance the dynamics during recording.

Now, I have my own podcast, 'Banquet Beats', on Spotify where I interview an artist each episode. As I produce this myself, I've really develop my skills for audio editing, recording (particularly outside of the studio) and creating promotional content! I've also really honed in on how to create familiar yet engaging structures for episodes and particularly interviews.
