As weekend editor you make the chats for the presenters chosen for the shows and put them in touch. It’s a good idea to grab a drink with them all if they are new to LSR especially but not completely necessary. You can also add or change up core shows as long as they’re bringing something new to the table that people would want to try out . Try to be good at replying on the weekends especially if you’re not popping in the office and ask how the shows went or if they have any new ideas. It’s good to make it clear to them all at the beginning that if they want an interview you can email people for that for them, and to let them know about the possibility of an outside broadcast and how to upload shows etc. Post about the shows and make graphics for them (can do on Canva) but it’s also good to let the presenters have free reign and they can send over stuff they want you to post like stories etc. let them know about socials and it’s good to organise a couple throughout the year or encourage them to come! It’s a pretty relaxed role but you can have a lot of fun with it.
