As a black woman, I know that often our voices go unheard and our experiences are not taken into account to accommodate us in the spaces we occupy in the world. I want to help fortify and serve our community here in Leeds, as well as help the president organise relevant and enjoyable events that cater to the experiences, interests, and hobbies of the black girls studying here at the University of Leeds. Having assumed leadership and prefect roles throughout my schooling, I have the necessary organisational and social skills to thrive in this role.
