Hiya Fitties!

I’m Jade, I’m from Leeds and currently in my second-year of studying Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Thought BA, about to begin a year in industry as the Student Welcome Team Intern! I’ll be based on campus for my placement over the 2024/25 academic year and plan to continue taking beginner classes in pole and hoop, as well as flexibility.

Being a part of Vertical Fitness has fortified my own wellbeing - by newfound strength from regular training and entry into a kind and inclusive community of aerial Fitties - and so I would love to support other society members to that end by joining the committee.

Uni can be overwhelming, and life in general comes with all kinds of challenges, which is why it’s important to have a point of contact within the Union who can listen to your concerns and provide guidance on resources that will empower your health and happiness during your time at Leeds.

On a day off you’ll find me trying a new recipe (the latest being a vintage heart cake for my Grandma’s birthday), cycling on the Moors or walking my senior mini schnauzer, Jemima.
