Hello everyone, my name’s Arjan.
As a candidate for the position of Vice President in LDAS, I present to you my vision and dedication towards achieving the objectives of the society. I understand the immense importance of the role of Vice President, and I am confident that I possess the qualities required to fulfill this position with competence and commitment.
For exposure into aesthetics, I have participated in an anterior composite bonding session with Dentinal Tubules which involved blending shades to discovering new techniques to polish with disks and cups. Furthermore, I have work experience in aesthetics in Notting Hill London, observing numerous gum and tooth contouring sessions with whitening. Dental Photography is an aspect of aesthetic dentistry I am keen on developing throughout my dental school career. Having developed photography skills predating dental school with my tutor for DofE and sessions with my father has equipped me with basic knowledge revolving around dental aesthetics.
An important aspect I will bring as vice president would be maintaining a healthy work environment by working with the president in effectively running the society and cooperation with the rest of the committee and help lead the committee towards its vision for the year.
Despite the best of intentions, setbacks and obstacles can arise when trying to achieve goals. As Vice President, I will work to ensure that these potential problems are identified and addressed from an inclusive approach. This involves working closely with the President to brainstorm solutions and find new ways collaboratively to overcome challenges.
As the President of the medical society in sixth form, I have exhibited qualities required to lead and manage a society effectively. This includes delegation, effective communication and supervision of responsibilities. My experience and leadership qualities have equipped me with the capability of taking control of complex situations with an ultimate objective of delivering positive outcomes.
My main priorities if chosen to enter this position are:
• deliver you a focused array of events and educated talks
• Increase communication between LDAS and aesthetic organisations
• to develop on ideas LDAS planned in the past year to create more opportunity for students
In conclusion, I am convinced that i can bring profound knowledge and skills to push the society to the next level this year alongside the president and the rest of the committee. As Vice President I will commit to promoting membership growth and educate more students with knowledge of aesthetic dentistry.
