I am applying for the treasurer role because as well as being both interested in finances and qualified for this by taking maths, I have thoroughly enjoyed the Natural Sciences society this year and found it to be fundamental in my connection with my coursemates and thus ultimately my time at univerisity this year, pushing me to want to create the same experience for next years Natural Scientists.
I am organised, detail oriented, and due to my providing a service as a tutor, am familiar with managing finances. I feel I would thrive in this role and hope to combine my passion for maths, desire to make next years freshers feel welcome and my financial skills when it comes to tracking spending with excel and working with budgets to take on the role of treasurer next year.
