I believe I will be a strong fit for the society as Social Secretary. With my experience as a social secretary from this past year for the second semester, I now understand and have learnt how to better operate for this role. Moreover, I will introduce more ideas into next year’s socials and will rely more on polls/ideas from the people within the society regarding themes and potential plans for the night to introduce fun and diversity into the socials. Moreover, I will work closer with our representative at Mischief to ensure a more consistent and larger batch of tickets will be secured each week. Lastly, I appreciate your votes in advance, and I promise to remain committed to the role.

This role is important to me after having experienced this past year’s tennis socials which I believe would be much more inclusive given more organisation. Including everyone and bringing all the teams together should be the main aim. Hosting themed nights (ideas from actual members), planned pre’s and releasing ticket codes in advance, I believe, would help to make better nights out for everyone!

Socials can be one of the best parts of the week. I want people to want to go to socials, to let off steam, to meet new people and to have such a great time that you can't wait to do it all over again. Socials are for you, so you should have a voice. Regular polls will be incorporated for you to choose themes, locations and what events you want to partake in. Let’s go further than a Wednesday mischief. Let’s go bowling or even to a trampoline park! Let’s do more, plan more and find what else we can do together in the City Of Leeds. I am a graphic design student with an eye for order and planning with a past experience of being sports captain for years 7-13 and a leader for my local scout group. The experience and ideas are there, I just hope the budget can keep up. Apologies to the next treasurer.
