Hi I’m Thea, I’m going into my 4th year of medicine and I would love to be considered for the role of Publicity Representative on this year’s GP Soc committee!

From 1st year, I have always loved my GP placements. They’ve given me the opportunity to get to know patients and hear their stories, whether that be about something they’ve been struggling with for years or a recent change to their health. These placements have sparked my interest in a career in general practice and working within the community.

Last year, I was Secretary for LUU Ballet Society and part of my role was to run the social media accounts, so I know what is needed to run an up-to-date and engaging social media page. I have become familiar with range of social media platforms through this role and I am confident using post software like Canva. In the role of Publicity Representative, I would work alongside and support the Publicity Coordinator and Publicity Team to create engaging Instagram and Facebook pages that advertises all of the Society's upcoming events and what we’ve been up to!

Hi, I’m Akshaya and I’d love to be your publicity representative for GP Soc. I’m in 3rd year, and over the last 2 years built a real interest for general practice and would love to grow this further as part of the society’s committee.

I’m experienced with Canva, Instagram and TikTok, and would love to keep giving GPsoc a consistent online presence on TikTok and Instagram advertising events properly and effectively, making sure the content reaches a wide range of people and making the society well known with good social media activity. TikTok algorithm and trends are familiar to me and I would love to mix my passion for social media with General Practice. I’m always active online so will take extra care to reply to all messages and emails while keeping myself organised. I’m good at working within a team whether this be in the larger committee and advertising events or working on tasks within the publicity team.

Hi everyone, my name is Sidrah and I’m a 4th year keen to be part of GP soc working as part of the publicity team! I would love to work alongside the committee to create content as well as keep all the social media’s updated with some engaging and interesting posts to help represent this society! I love creating and sharing content already as I have a lot of experience with this on instagram as a content creator myself and would love to bring my creativity into this role.

I also have a keen interest in General Practice as a specialty and have thoroughly enjoyed my GP placements where I have been able to communicate with patients and also have my own consultations. I hope to be part of GPsoc and help bring more awareness of the society and represent it to all med students! Looking forward to hopefully joining the committee! 🤍
