Hey Hey!

My name is Alex and I am a first year Communication and Media student. I have loved my time at LSR so far - being on the Playlist Team, Hometime shows and helping with the Children In Need special broadcast. I have had past experience with both film and sound production (within Logic ProX and Adobe) and am eager to help improve the - what is already amazing - station sound.
As Head of Production, I would work closely with the Heads of Music and Head of Design to produce frequently updated jingles for individual shows as well as new beds that are tailored to shows to create a better atmosphere when broadcasting (suitable for whatever vibes you’re feeling). This would also present opportunities to feature the musicians and DJs of the station through these jingles and beds. I would also host frequent production workshops throughout the year to help those who are wanting to feel more confident with various radio skills - everyone can get involved in as much or as little as they want! I want to maintain a friendly environment for new members and create opportunities to help produce a diverse station sound.

For those of you who already know me at LSR, you would know that I am hardworking and passionate. I have already met some amazing people since I joined and I can’t wait to meet many more next year :)
