Having been an avid Taylor Swift fan for many years, naturally I would love to take on a role in the Swift Society committee! Having just bought my Midnights signed CD edition before typing this, I am very excited to see what the Swift Society can become and want to be at the heart of it. If nominated in the Swiftie Support role, I would ensure I would assist as much as possible with tasks such as picking up items needed for events, making playlists, and organising things with external providers via phone call, emails etc. I am also looking forward to help map out ideas for future events and attending committee meetings when scheduled.

Hi! My name is Livia (she/her), I’m a third year Arabic and International Relations student, my favourite Taylor Swift song is State of Grace (Taylor’s Version, of course), and I’m running for Swiftie Support. I’ve been a fan of Taylor since I was little, and I’ve always loved the ides of a Taylor Swift society at Leeds ever since I started seeing them be created at other universities. In terms of work, I’m determined, engaged, organised, and I have experience organising events and more generally working in a team setting to make projects happen. I’d love to help bring this new society into LUU society mainstream, and be a part in creating a welcoming, open and accepting society for people with a shared passion for music and Taylor Swift.

Hi everyone! My name is Charlie and I would love to be a part of Swift Soc because this is the first society I’ve found that I feel really passionate about. Last year I really struggled to fit in with the societies on offer at Leeds and I don’t want this to be the case for new freshers coming in. Swift Soc should be a place where everyone can come and feel welcome no matter what. She really does have a song for every emotion so there is something for everyone. To be part of the committee would mean I could share the joys (and sorrows - I’m looking at you Champagne Problems) of being a Swiftie. I’d like to be a Swiftie Support as there isn’t one part of the society I would love to do more than the other, therefore I think this role is perfect for me. I have so many ideas about socials and ways to really get this society off the ground. I can’t wait to groove, shout and sob to all the albums (Taylor’s Version of course) with you! I hope you consider me for the role and I look forward to creating some beautiful memories with the society :)
