Hii everyone!
I’m Ossyᥫ᭡ (Osayamwen Egharevba), a Theatre and Performance student at the University of Leeds, and I’m excited to nominate myself for the Tech Officer position on the 2025/6 KDS committee.

With a strong background in digital tools, creativity, and teamwork, I believe I can bring both skill and enthusiasm to this role. I’ve previously worked as a Design Assistant where I used Adobe Illustrator to create product labels and presented my designs to a team. An experience that sharpened both my eye for detail and editing skills. I also worked as a receptionist, which strengthened my communication, time management, and ability to juggle multiple digital platforms like Word, Google Docs, Excel.

Beyond my work experience, I enjoy creating choreography, photography, and video editing in my free time. As a Theatre student, I’m used to producing and editing creative content under pressure, and I’m no stranger to managing group projects and maintaining a positive, collaborative vibe.

If elected as Tech Officer, I will:

Ensure high-quality filming and editing of our performances, tutorials, and showcases.

Keep our Discord server organised and up to date, handling announcements, polls, and permissions efficiently.

Manage and regularly update our YouTube channel with engaging content.

Consistently edit and release the weekly RPD tutorials on time, ensuring they’re accessible and easy to follow.

KDS has been a welcoming and inspiring space for so many of us, and I’d love the opportunity to contribute to its growth behind the scenes.

Hi KDS! My name is Noah, and I’m running to be your Tech Officer for 25/26.
The entire society has been so welcoming for me this year - K-Pop is not massively popular amongst guys, but I’ve felt so at home and want to carry on creating a safe space for everyone next year! I love helping others and being a friendly face for people to turn to. I won’t lie, being a science student means I don’t have loads of experience in terms of media/film studies skills, but I’m passionate and love learning new things! This year I’ve gained so much confidence - many people will agree and possibly laugh with me about the fact that 7 months ago I could barely dance in front of a single person, now I will apparently shamelessly sprint into the middle of a RPD to dance to a girl group song (even though I will probably mess it up!).
I’ve filmed more fancams and edited more videos just this year than I ever have previously, so I would be honoured to be your Tech Officer next year and continue everything Gina has done for KDS! The weekly RPDs are one of my favourite parts of the tutorials so I would love to create them for everyone to have as much fun as possible! I’d also love to help members gain experience for their own development, if you fancy helping with photography at RPDs or are looking to get involved with filming fancams of performances, I want to help create those experiences for you! :)

id love to run for tech officer as I have previous experience in filming, camera work (phones and professional equipment), video editing, audio editing and pretty much all stuff film as i studied media and filmmaking in college, where I made films solo so I can work independently and im currently studying film in university. id love to bring my skills to kds as I would adore being on committee and being more involved with the society as its been my favourite thing to attend since I started in September. my main goal would be to bring new angles and new equipment to the YouTube covers and post more video related content to attract new members and to help highlight current members skills and amazing covers!

Hi, I’m Paula and I’m running for Tech Officer for 2025/26! I really love being a part of this society and believe I can help not just to continue running it successfully, but to help it grow!

As a Film, Photography and Media student, I have experience working with cameras and editing videos, and will continue improving these skills to deliver high-quality videos that truly reflect how fun and welcoming it feels to be a part of KDS! I also have four years of K-pop dance experience, and have been part of K-pop societies and covers throughout that time because I truly love being involved in this community.

If elected, I will ensure that the Discord server continues to run smoothly and always has useful, easy-to-access information on society activities. I would also like to update its design to make it more engaging and fun for the members. Additionally, I will work hard to quickly ban and report any suspicious accounts that join the server in order to protect our members from scams or hacking. Furthermore, RPD playlists will be balanced and full of variety, from the most recent comebacks to iconic oldies! I will do my best to ensure there’s always at least one song that you know in every RPD.

Finally, I will keep our YouTube up to date on all our covers and performances, and increase the amount of video content produced for it. Dance covers are a great way to give our members more opportunities to learn and show off their skills outside of competitions, and I feel that not many people know that they have the option of making one as part of their membership. Thus, I would like to promote this aspect of our society more, and provide any technical support members may need to make these covers happen!

I have previous experience working in RPD China, where I handled video uploading, music editing, promo design, and photography, making me both experienced and efficient in these areas. I'm always available for updates, constantly online to post announcements and keep everyone informed and engaged. As a passionate K-pop enthusiast, I aim to integrate K-pop elements into RPD content, featuring fan-favorite tracks and artists. With three years of dance training, I understand the performance side of RPD, allowing me to better support both onstage and offstage needs. My plan is to boost our online presence by creating fun, engaging formats like behind-the-scenes clips and Instagram reels, helping grow our digital community. I am always ready to lend a hand with media tasks, social posts, or backstage work, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Additionally, I can provide tech support, whether it’s rehearsal playback, live sound, video editing, or promotional graphic design. I also prioritize listening and collaborating by regularly gathering everyone’s ideas and suggestions to turn your creative input into the actual content and style of RPD.
