Hi I’m Max and I’m a men’s 1st team player and would love to be elected as men’s captain this coming year. As someone who has played in all but one of the BUCS matches this year, playing as the number 1 or number 2 player the majority of the time, I feel that I have considerable experience when it comes to BUCS matches and know what it takes and what needs to be done for an efficient and smooth running of the men’s BUCS teams. I have experienced being a high performance tennis player since the age of 9, reaching number 2 in the country, playing in national and international tournaments and representing England. If elected, I will ensure that training sessions for performance and development players are of higher quality than they are now, as well as pushing for more court availability at both John Charles tennis centre and David Lloyd. Next year, I also aim to work closely with the Development secretary both to add an extra team to the BUCS league and include training sessions whereby development players get a chance to train with performance players. This would give some of the top Development players a chance to move up the rankings to potentially play in higher teams as the year goes by. I would appreciate it greatly if you would vote for me as Men’s captain. I am extremely motivated to push tennis society in the right direction and improve all players’ experience of tennis training and matches.
