I’ll balance the books

After a pivotal year for UOLT, cementing us as one of the biggest societies in the University - I’d like to thank everyone who got themselves involved. Whether that was competing in BUCs, lending a house for a social, donating to our Movember push or even just showing face on a Wednesday. I’m proud to say this society has brought together an incredibly diverse and welcoming group of people from across the University.
Now I’ve had a year of being one of your Social Secretaries I’d like to ask for your support once more in my run for treasurer. I believe I’m a fit for this role as I have the understanding and experience of what it takes to be on committee, working weekly to provide for the society. Especially in a year where our members skyrocketed to over 1200, commitment and organisational skills were crucial. Now I’ve had the opportunity to understand what did and didn’t work for the society this past year I can offer support to next year’s committee in their various roles.
If you vote for me, I can promise transparency and careful allocation of the society’s funds. I’ll ensure socials, charity events and training sessions all receive the financial support they need to thrive. I also plan on creating and organizing alumni events so that past members of our society are able to return and see what the society has evolved into. Additionally, I’d like to ensure all playing squads of our society are funded to receive improved training sessions as well as matches. As a society we have massive potential to continue to evolve and expand, with me on executive committee I can ensure that we do.
