Hey, I'm Shakty, I'm a second year and am running for the position of treasurer. As treasurer I aim to secure and allocate funding towards events such as surgical skills workshops, talks from experts in the field and sessions on how to make your application to plastics as competitive as possible.

In the past I have been responsible for the financial side of event organisation, had money handling responsibilities, as well as fundraising several thousands for charity trips. I feel I have knowledge required to help organise events that are as informative as possible to help you get a good insight on what the speciality is really like, given our little expose through med school.

Hi, my name is Shirley and I would love to be a part of this committee and learn more about Plastic reconstructive surgery. I am very enthusiastic about the prospects of a surgical career and through joining this committee would love to both encourage others and also further develop my own interests. I am going for the role of Treasurer, as I am very organised and have good accounting skills, so would be able to manage the societies budget and finances whilst also liaising with the cash office at the LUU. This is a great opportunity and I would to love to work alongside the rest of the committee to organise and deliver exciting events to help others spark an interest in Plastics.
