Over the past year, I’ve worked closely with our current Tournament Secretary and incoming President, gaining first-hand insight into how tournaments are organised and how we collaborate with other universities. Going into my final year, I’ve already represented Leeds in BUCS Snooker (reaching the top 8 in the Individual Trophy), BUCS 9-ball, and Leeds 9-ball. I was also part of the 8-ball 2s team, though I was unfortunately unable to attend the tournament. These experiences have given me a solid understanding of the planning, registration, and communication needed for tournament success.

If elected, I’ll take full responsibility for ensuring our teams are registered on time, liaising with BUCS and external organisers, and ensuring smooth logistics so our players can focus solely on competing and performing at their best. I will also run more in-house tournaments, keeping our new members engaged while keeping our competitive players match-ready throughout the year, with the hope of bringing back the Leeds Pool and Snooker glory days.

I’m fully committed to helping the club rebuild its strong tournament presence and bring home silverware in the year ahead. I’d be grateful for your vote and the chance to help Leeds win more BUCS trophies together.

Having been in the society for the past year and been given the opportunity to represent the university through competing in the BUCS 8-ball tournament, which is one of my favourite experiences of university so far thanks to the amazing committee we have had this year. I would like to run for tournament sec so I can continue the hard work of this year’s committee and continue to make BUCS and all other tournaments as enjoyable as I found it myself.
