Hi I’m Gabe!

I’m running for this position because I’m a weekend lover: I work Fruity Fridays I love them that much!

On a more serious note, I’m running for this position because I feel as though I have the necessary experience with radio, design and leadership. This is because of my experience this year co-hosting in semester one of Rock and Punk, being the Head of broadcasting for The Gryphon and co-hosting Gryph-On Air; as well as my own show ‘Space Age Love Songs’. As for design and leadership, these both come from my experience this year as Views Editor for The Gryphon! I had to design pages for print and host and organise writer’s meetings. Because of my experience, I can assume that designs will pop, the ship will be airtight and everyone can have fun!

I enjoy things like film, brunch and Sunday roasts so when I saw this position would include me being in charge of shows with those themes and titles I jumped at the chance!

If I were to be elected to this position - I can assure the following things:

1. Maintain the relationship with HPPH
2. A fair and diverse team of core broadcasters
3. The best opportunities for presenters to reach their goals - including film reviews, interviews and much more!
4. A monthly social for the weekend team! Sometimes boozy, sometimes sober, always fun!

Hey guys!

I’ve enjoyed every part of being in the LSR team this year and would love to contribute yet more by becoming the next Head of Weekend.

I would be a great fit for this role - I always aim to have fun, be positive, and make the most of the situation.

My main aim would be to make sure everyone on the team enjoys their time on air (despite a guaranteed technical error at some point)! We always have each other’s back, love to experiment and say YES.
