Hello! (again). After seeing the lovely revamp to Studio 2 whilst away on my placement year, I knew I had to come back to LSR and get involved again. Acting as Evening Editor in the 22/23 year was a huge highlight of my university experience so far. Serving on committee allowed me to meet so many people, share skills and techniques, organise events and help to develop presenters.

If I returned to the position, I would look at the successes and failures of my previous time to ensure a brilliant experience for anyone on the evening team. I plan to put on more workshops, seek out opportunities and continue the radio’s relationship with BPM Society to provide radio DJs with as many resources as possible. The workshops we put on alongside BPM lead to LSR receiving the 2023 Riley Award for Best New Collaboration which was a brilliant moment after the time we put in. Following applications, I would ensure that the evening slots are filled with a creative, diverse and passionate group of presenters to blow away those listening in.

During my time in Leeds, I have had the privilege to experience the incredible DJ and wider music scene. Multiple venues that I performed at in the past have shut down since moving away. The importance of retaining this incredible community in Leeds cannot be overstated and I would love to support the next wave of creators making this scene so great.
