Hi! My name is Jiaru Yan, you can call me Janey as well. I am very appreciative that I have the opportunity to compete for the KDS Performance Officer. My goal is to create a space where every member can develop their skills, express their creativity, and contribute to powerful, high-energy performances.

I am committed to enhancing the overall quality of our performances. My vision is to create a space where every individual feels empowered to contribute their unique talents, while also pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve as a collective. I will focus on organizing structured rehearsals that allow us to build confidence as a team. Whether it’s reworking a routine for a limited stage space, or solving any team coordination issues, I will focus on finding practical and effective solutions quickly and efficiently.

Additionally, If elected I aim to expand our performance opportunities by organizing more showcases, events, and even collaborations. These will give us a chance to show off our hard work, gain exposure, and grow as performers. I believe that creativity and teamwork are key to creating unique performances that stand out, and I will ensure that all members have the chance to contribute their ideas.

I will also foster a culture of collaboration where we can solve problems together. If a challenge arises, I’ll encourage open dialogue and teamwork, so everyone feels supported and heard. By ensuring that we have flexible approaches and remain adaptable in the face of change, I’m confident we can tackle anything that comes our way.

Hiii guys ꒰ ´͈ ᵕ `͈꒱ I'm Phoebe, and I'm applying to be your Performance Officer! I am a passionate kpop dancer and performer with 13 years of dance experience and lots of performances throughout my journey.
Back in sixth form, I was one of the leaders of the kpop society, where I gained valuable experience in coordinating performances. As someone who truly loves being on stage, I believe I can organise and lead the team to deliver outstanding performances, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
If elected, I will ensure competitions and performances run seamlessly by maintaining clear communication with event organisers, backstage management, and society members. Regularly check on practice progress and oversee professional dance cover projects to keep the team on track. I will also actively liaise with competition organisers to secure more opportunities and resources for our society. Efficiently plan rehearsal schedules, ensuring everything is well-organised so that all members can enjoy performing to the fullest!
