Hey there, I’m Grace!
I’m a medical student currently intercalating in MRes between 3rd & 4th year.
I’ve had an interest in endocrinology for years and one of my first inspirations for becoming a medic was in fact an endocrinologist.
Through him I was able to really develop my understanding of endocrinology and its importance; I hope to increase awareness of this speciality and engage more students in this society.
I want to be part of this society because I think I can bring a new perspective to events and offer creative ideas on how to grow this space. I want to both help educate fellow students on endocrinology and widen their chances for accessing a career in the speciality.
I want to use my MRes to help students understand the research process and make research more accessible for anyone who wants to have a go.
I have been part of Access to Medicine for two years now and feel widening accessibility to competitive specialties is a priority of mine so want to ensure anyone who feels that ends might be for them has the best chance!

I feel that as Social Media Sec I will be able to increase publicity for the society and bring a fun, lively social media presence to draw in more of the student body.
I feel that we can use our social media presence to both educate others and promote ourselves to a wider group.
