Hi everyone, I am a first-year Economics & Finance student with the Leeds University Business School and as an active member of the LUUTIS community, I’m running for the position of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion officer for the committee 2023-24. Apart from my desire to serve the society and help achieve the goal of diversity, I have the intercultural skills gained by participating in a recently held JP Morgan insight day, where I had the opportunity to connect with people across the globe teaching me the value it brings on board while also being fair to everyone in every aspect. I have experience in a variety of leadership roles which enables me to manage inter-society relationships to promote DE&I with a progressive leadership style rooted in encouraging individuality, positive reinforcement and teamwork while reporting the appropriate statistics. Some of my experiences include being a student ambassador within the LUBS, an ex-intern at IIMUN wherein I had to lead a team of 15-20 campus ambassadors, Volunteer with the intercultural ambassadors within the uni, and founder of a small charity for the underprivileged back in my home country. With my commitment to inclusion and diversity within the workspace and relevant experience, I believe I am well-suited for the role and can prove to be an asset to the LUUTIS committee the following year!

I will keep LUUTIS as an inclusive space in which anyone, regardless of their characteristics, can learn about their career opportunities and excel in the business sector and university social life.

I am highly experienced in managing groups of people. Currently, I am an owner in a university funded/backed education platform that employs a vast and diverse range of writers and educators across the United Kingdom.

Nobody that has the desire to join will be excluded from getting stuck in at socials or joining in with investment activities. Bad actors will be dealt with fairly and swiftly, making sure LUUTIS can grow further into a society worth joining.

Unlike others, I have made sure to attend many of LUUTIS’ socials and events, those present know me and therefore integrating with the 2023/4 committee will be rapid and effective.
