I’m running for secretary because I’m very organised, reliable and (I like to think) approachable :)
I’d be more than happy to answers queries, offer support and generally be someone you can all talk to.
I’m currently in my second year studying Neuroscience which involves key organisation skills, as does my 4 years worth of experience as a waitress.

Who am I?

I’m Beth, a 3rd year Biochemistry student currently doing a placement year at Labcorp. Last year I was the secretary for FobSoc and I’ve also been a First Year rep, so I already have an understanding of how the society runs together - and you may have heard from me already via countless newsletters!


Why vote for me?

After being part of FoBSoc for the past two years, I know which socials we love and what we want to change to make our society more fun and inclusive for all of our members. I have loved being part of FoBSoc and I have truly missed the fun while on placement this year, so I am even more excited to get back into the chaos that are the FoBSoc socials!

Having been part of the society during our online-era, I cannot wait to meet everyone in person again!

What will I do?

-Spice up the social calendar with more sober socials and collabs with other societies.
-Expand the links our society has outside of the university. During the past, I have helped organise extremely insightful events with external speakers, and these are always a great way to make members aware of the variety of opportunities available during the university years and beyond.
-Having been on a placement year myself, I want to offer members more advice and support when applying for placements, and tell you exactly what a placement is all about.
-Keep members updated via regular newsletters, with our events and key dates.
-Get your ideas! I would love to get our members involved in deciding what they want from our society, about socials and beyond.
