Hey everyone, I’m Sophie and I’m excited to be running for Events & Social Excursions Secretary! Having previously been on the Business Society committee, I know how much work goes into planning great events, and I’m ready to bring that experience back into the team.

I’m currently on my placement year at HSBC, where I’ve been developing my organisation and communication skills while building a strong professional network. As the Head of Events & Volunteering for HSBC GradCan, I’ve gained hands-on experience leading and coordinating activities—including organising a high-level breakfast event for CSOs of major clients.

I’ve also attended the LUBS Ball and the society’s trips abroad in both my first and second years, so I know firsthand how special these events are for members. I’d love the opportunity to help create those same unforgettable experiences for everyone this year.
