Driven by a genuine passion for entrepreneurship, leadership and community, I am excited to stand for LUBS president for 2026/27. I am a current second year Business Management and Marketing student from Sheffield! I have always thrived at bringing people together, from organising both my y11 and y13 proms to planning events throughout uni, I have developed strong organisational and communication skills that I am looking forward to bringing into this role.

Outside of my studies, I enjoy spending time with friends, whether that’s a relaxed night in or exploring the best bars in Leeds. I also like to stay active in the gym, Pilates and training with the B&D lax girls.

Since first joining LUBS as a member in my first year to becoming the current Careers and Sponsorship Secretary, stepping up to President feels like the next chapter. What excites me most about this role is the opportunity to lead a new committee, support everyone in their roles and continue being a part of a society that feels welcoming, valuable and fun for all members.

I look forward to seeing what the next year brings, in the meantime vote for me :)

Hi LUBLIES!!! My names Toby and I’m running for the president of LUBS next year! I’m a Business Management student currently on an industrial placement at Pernod Ricard (Responsible for brands like Absolut, Malibu, Jameson). My key aim for the society is to have a greater focus on skill development and career progression, and I can’t wait to share with you all how to succeed during application processes, whether that’s an internship, placement or graduate role!

You may remember me as the Social Secretary last year, where I organised some amazing socials, like the secret social to Newcastle or the Bobbies fresher's event. I can’t wait to bring this knowledge I have of each committee position to supporting them, whether that’s renegotiating with events promoters, providing bettering offerings for our members, or using the technical ability I built on placement to maintain financial health.

Finally, a key aim I have for the society is to give members a greater voice, whether that’s career based, with workshops on technical skills of your choosing, or what socials you want in the future, putting members first and keeping LUBS as amazing as its always been!
